Firefox 3 RC2 Available
For those of you who don’t know, Mozilla released Firefox RC2 today. RC2 is one step behind the full-blown 3.0 that’s scheduled for June release. It’s a bug fix release, meaning that there are no new features, just tweaking and under the hood modifications.
For those of you living under a rock, Firefox is a standalone web browser that is an alternative to your operating system’s browser (like Internet Explorer). There’s a version for all Windows, Mac, and Linux OSes. In my, and most other people who use it’s opinion, Firefox is one of the greatest pieces of software ever devised. It has a bevy of built-in features, and add-ons can help you customize the browser to behave anyway you’d like.
Even though this is technically a “preview” or “release candidate”, FF3 RC2 is very stable and will get you ready for the final release.
Oh, and by the way, to all of you who call this “Mozilla” instead of Firefox: you need to get a clue. Mozilla makes (well, distributes) Firefox. You don’t call Windows “Microsoft”, DO YOU?
Sorry, that just had to be said.
